Final Thoughts

Actively participating in online research and journalism through blogging affected me in several ways. It taught me that there are many different ways to voice opinion, fact, and stories. It taught me to research different sites to learn what is fact and what is opinion. It also taught me what kind of sway people can have on others, just with words. Blogging allows anyone and everyone to voice their opinions on life, or just tell about their life, and all they need is for one person to read. I was very happy in doing this project and am better off in this field because of it.

This project was very worthwhile as a learning tool in this class. I felt like I was really able to learn about a new medium of journalism, and learn about the entire concept of journalism as well. It taught many things and showed students a method to get started on their career path in the journalism field.

My final thesis statement is that blogging, without a doubt, has significantly impacted the print journalism industry, and continues to do so with each new person who creates a blog. Blogging provides a new medium of journalism and allows stories and news to reach farther than ever before. It has raised new interest among people and has provided everyone with the ability to observe and report their views and opinions. Blogging has made journalism much more interactive than print journalism ever was. With that in mind, there can be no doubt that blogging has had more than a significant impact.
